“Mr. Vegas”
Robert comes from a background of event producers. Born in Las Vegas, he traveled the world with his family producing live events for Theatre’s, Casino’s, Television and even U.S. Presidents. It was during this time he worked with lighting, sound, video, staging and special effects while also learning how to produce, direct and choreograph - giving him an unprecedented background in all production elements of a live staged event.
At the age of 23 Robert focused his youthful talents, experience, and creative mindset on the corporate event industry. For the next 12 years Robert worked with the number one production house in Las Vegas, Nevada; opening and operating over 10 Million square feet of convention space across 14 properties on the Las Vegas strip, and managing production for over 250 shows every day!
Over the next 6 years Robert worked as the Executive Director with a high-end Utah based Audio Visual company, building new and exciting events for some of the top companies in Salt Lake City. It was during this time Robert and GayLyn noticed a need for a High-End Design, Decor and Floral house in Utah.
In 2007 In The Event was born.
GayLyn LaSpina
GayLyn spent her upbringing in the retail and commercial design world – working closely with the design, layout and display of products, clothing, cosmetics, beverages and foods. The many years spent in this field drove her to develop a passion and appreciation for design and led her to her degree in Residential and Commercial design.
Once out of college GayLyn started her professional interior design career in Las Vegas, fulfilling a high level of expectations. From top tier multi-million dollar luxury resort communities, to custom homes and commercial buildings, GayLyn quickly became a “go-to” professional for elite design services.
With a true value for customer service and armed with fresh and vibrant creativity, GayLyn exceeded all of her client’s expectations and needs with raving reviews! Always on the look for something new, GayLyn and family moved back to her roots in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In 2007 In The Event was born.

After over 10 years of miracles in the Las Vegas market, Robert and GayLyn returned to Salt Lake City, Utah to start something new and creative. Robert took employment with Cornerstone Technologies LLC, and GayLyn was freelancing with her design services.
It was at that time GayLyn and Robert decided to combine their skills and work together as one to build In The Event. As Robert would paint the picture of visual scenery for live production to his clientele, GayLyn was hard at work fueling her own creation and the realities of designing such extravagant occasions. Together they literally changed the scenery for live events in Utah.
